I have a confession to make: I’m newly addicted to all things containing cherry. It started last week when I had an iced nonfat dark cherry mocha at Starbucks. So, while I didn’t take many food pictures this week, I do have some of the cherry variety.
Cha-Cha Cherry from Arden’s Garden- it had cherries, pineapple, and mango in it. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too sweet, but it did have pulp in it.

White chocolate cherry bread from Great Harvest – you guys, this was amazing. So decadent and dessert-like… in Tobey’s words, “It’s not really bread.”

Up close… do you see the melty white chocolate? It was just out of the oven.

The original culprit- a tall, iced nonfat dark cherry mocha… you must try it! The cherry flavor isn’t artificial tasting at all, and the drink itself isn’t overwhelmingly sweet.

Kashi dark cherry chocolate bar:

Frozen cherries…

I used the whole bag of cherries in this next picture… oops! Sugar overload?
Following Caitlin’s lead, I blended together:
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 cups spinach
- 15 frozen cherries
- 1 tbs reduced-sugar Nesquik
- 1 small banana
There are another 15 or so blended cherries on top… I told you that I’m addicted! This was perfect after a long walk outside, but next time, I would probably leave the chocolate powder out.

And one more… a chocolate covered cherry on top of milk chocolate frozen yogurt.

WOW- that was a lot of cherries! We’ll see if I can maintain my cherry intake this week, or if I’ll be dealing with cherry burn-out.
Do you like the cherry + chocolate combo, or does fruit + chocolate not do it for you? What two things do you love combining?
-Laura

Mmmm…I’m not usually a fruit and chocolate girl but those eats looks fantastic! I really, REALLY need to go to Great Harvest! That bread looks out of control good.
Oh Laura, you just want to torture me with that picture of the bread, don’t you? I could literally eat an entire loaf of that right now.
I am not a fan of fruit and chocolate combined. I feel like the sweetnesses don’t compliment each other, if that makes any sense?? But I could make an exception for that bread, for sure.
“the original culprit” – you are SO funny! Cherries are a wonderfully, healthy thing to be addicted to! I myself and am not a fan of them – but my favorite “combo” from above would be green apples + dark chocolate. Lots of those ‘edible arrangements” have been at work lately and these are SO good!
Holy Cherry!! I love cherries and cannot wait for them to be back in the stores, I love eating them like candy. I’ve never had a chocolate covered cherry, but it sounds divine!! I am going to have to make a chocolate covered strawberry smoothie. That just sounds wonderful to me!!
Oh yum!! All those cherry foodS look soo good! I’m not a big chocolate fan but I’m a chocolate cherry fan!
Cherry is actually the only fruit I really like with chocolate. I occasionally like it with orange or banana but I am typically a purist.
Yum cherries. I can’t wait for the summer when the fresh ones are in season (and on sale).
Q about Great Harvest – do they have sandwiches? I always drive past it and think that I want to go to there for lunch, but wonder if they only have bread. I suppose I could go inside and look, but asking you is easier!
The store on Briarcliff doesn’t have sandwiches (just bread, scones, cookies, etc), but some locations do. Kind of a bummer, b/c sometimes I want something “real” to eat!
OMG that starbucks drink sounds divine! I’m going to have to try it soon.
I’ve never been to a Great Harvest. It makes me sad. That bread looks unreal though!
OMG that bread looks unfreakinbelievable!! I’ve also been dying to try that starbucks drink but was worried it would taste fake/too sweet…now I may have to splurge on one later this week after reading your review of it
