Such a fun day!
When a friend emails you at 4:00 and asks if you want to grab a drink after work, what do you say? Yes, of course.
I was so excited to see Caitlin (just home from her honeymoon in Bora Bora… sigh), so I met her and Elizabeth at Bistro Niko. I have been pretty obsessed with going to this place since I read about it opening today on Daily Candy.
I couldn’t help but laugh when I got a text from Caitlin that said, “I was officially their first customer and they all started clapping!”

I was thisclose to ordering their elderflower and sauvignon blanc cocktail, but we all decided to just go with the only French sauvignon blanc that we could pronounce- Just.
It was just what I wanted and I loved that they had a wide price range on their wine list. When I think of places to go for happy hour, I want people-watching and budget-friendly. What do you look for in bars and restaurants (other than good food)?

The perfect pour:

A packed house kitchen…

After happy hour, I met my friend Wendy next door to see Couples Retreat at 7:30. I know, I know… the movie has been out forever and I still haven’t seen it!

Fork & Screen is a great theatre… they serve food and drinks! It’s better to wait a few weeks to see a movie there- the theatres are small so they get packed pretty quickly.
I was hungry so I ordered the veggie quesadillas. They were filled with peppers, tomatoes, and cheese… they weren’t stellar, but they weren’t bad, either!

I didn’t think the movie was that great. There were a bunch of good actors in it and the setting was gorgeous, but it wasn’t as funny/clever as I thought it was going to be. Did you guys see it? What did you think?
Finally Friday tomorrow… I’m definitely looking forward to it!

I haven’t seen the movie, but I made the mistake of seeing Marley & Me at that theater. It’s not fun to try to get your check and pay for your food when you’re hysterically crying!
I still haven’t seen Marley & Me! I think too many people have told me that they cried during it, so I’m never in the mood to see it!
Seriously, one of the best parts of reading another Atlanta girl’s blog is finding out about cool new places! I’ll definitely be trying out Bistro Niko soon.
I wasn’t a huge fan of “Couples’ Retreat.” To be completely honest, it just wasn’t…very…funny.
I’m excited about Friday too!
What a fun night. I liked the movie – my favorite parts involved Vince Vaughns little boys- hilarious with the peeing in the store
I WANTED to see it, but now maybe I don’t…wait for it on DVD perhaps.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
